What's a sunhood, and do I need one over every window?
A sunhood is a fixed shading structure mounted above a window (or as a standalone architectural feature) to reduce direct sun and heat gain. Not every window needs one — they're most effective on north- or west-facing windows that get harsh afternoon sun.
Will a sunhood block my view or make the room dark?
No it will not make the room dark. They are designed to block high angle sun whilst still enabling sufficient light in
